The registered charity, the Gordon Moody Association, has named its new CEO, Adele Duncan, previously Director of Operations at Phoenix Futures.

 

Rekha Wadhwani, Chair of Trustees of Gordon Moody Association, has confirmed the appointment of Adele Duncan as the new, full-time Chief Executive Officer of the charity.

Adele, who takes over from Elaine Smethurst, will join on 10 July with a short handover period with Elaine who steps down on 26 July.

Adele said: “I have long been aware of the good work being done by Gordon Moody Association and am thrilled to be joining the charity at such an exciting time. I look forward to working with the Trustees and staff to lead the next stages of development and to continue to provide fantastic support to problem gamblers both in the UK and overseas.”

Commenting on Adele’s appointment Rekha Wadhwani said: “The Trustees are delighted that Adele will be joining the charity and consider ourselves fortunate that we have found a strong successor to our outgoing Managing Director Elaine Smethurst who has done such great work over the past six years. I look forward to working with Adele and to building an even stronger organisation in support of problem gamblers.”
