The conference will focus on challenges faced by regulators as they seek to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of gambling oversight. Expected to attend the annual gathering are IAGR members who represent gaming jurisdictions from throughout the world including those in Asia, Australia, Africa, Central America, the Caribbean, Europe, North America and South America. Industry representatives are also invited to attend the conference.
IMGL is very excited to be a part of the IAGR Annual Conference
“As the gambling industry is continuously evolving, primarily due to rapid technological developments, our conference programmes must always be dynamic to ensure that we don’t lose sight of emerging opportunities and challenges facing regulators across the globe,” said Bheki Mlambo, president of IAGR and CEO of the Mpumalanga Gambling Board. “To this end, I’m confident that the programme for the Sydney 2016 conference is being developed precisely with this in mind. Our membership in attendance would surely be richly rewarded with new knowledge and experiences to be able to keep up with this complex and ever-demanding task of regulating the industry.”
IAGR is also pleased to bring the International Masters of Gaming Law (IMGL) Masterclass series into the Sydney conference week activities.
“IMGL is very excited to be a part of the IAGR Annual Conference,” said IMGL president Mike Zatezalo, president of Kegler, Brown, Hill & Ritter Co. “This will continue its collaboration with IAGR in providing global forums for the exchange and dissemination of knowledge of gaming law and regulation.”
The IAGR Annual Conference 2016 will take place at Sydney’s Park Royal Darling Harbour Hotel.
