Apex Gaming will provide all three versions of its jackpot islands along with additional Apex Player Station electronic roulettes and individual Pinnacle slots for the two North Carolina properties.

Apex Gaming has received a major order from Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort and Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River in North Carolina.
“At Apex we strive to take gaming to the next level – with the best possible games, cabinets, jackpot editions, live gaming solutions – all with the customised solutions and service to match,” said JL Drapeau, general manager of Apogee Gaming, Apex’s distribution partner for North America.
“This order represents a major breakthrough not only at Harrah’s Cherokee but in the USA in general. Operators all over North America will take note of how much a difference Apex Gaming can make.”
The company’s business relationship with Harrah’s began in 2016 when the operator’s management was looking for a way to better manage their live gaming tables. “It all began with our search for a cash management solution for our live gaming tables. JL Drapeau of Apogee Gaming first introduced Apex Gaming to us. When he told us that they have a solution for table games, we were all ears,” said Ron Hager, director of Table Games at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort.
“The Apex team was very keen to learn how they could solve our problems, [they] listened to our issues, offered to find a solution and then worked swiftly and professionally to make the further developments on their iDROP to create exactly what we need. This brought about the iDROPe. We issue literally millions of promotional coupons every year. Our customers had to queue and wait at the cages to exchange these. This problem belongs to the past as our customers can redeem the coupons directly at the live gaming tables”. Asked about the performance of the iDROPe units, Hager stated, “We are extremely happy. The iDROPe units are exceeding our expectations.”
Brent Younce, regional general performance manager at Harrah’s Cherokee, explained how important customer service is, “JL Drapeau and his team give us outstanding support. They are always receptive, looking for ways to advance our gaming offer. Any questions or problems have always been answered and solved in a quick and professional manner. It is a pleasure to work with them. We can truly rely on the Apex team. We have over twenty slot suppliers here. We constantly measure their performance. We have been working with most of them for many years. Apex is a relatively new supplier, and in a short period of time, has advanced to become our most reliable supplier, a real milestone and of significant value to us.”
The new order covers a significant part of Apex’s product offering and includes all three versions of the company’s award-winning jackpot islands, the Big Island, the Round Edition and the Wall Edition. Indeed, Harrah’s Cherokee will be the very first casino in North America to introduce the Wall Edition together with the Clover Link games.
Players at Harrah’s Cherokee can also look forward to many more Apex Player Station electronic roulettes, while individual Pinnacle slots are also included in the order as well as the Pinnacle VIP edition.
“It’s not often that a new supplier makes such a positive impact on our gaming floor. We’ve seen this with Apex Gaming,” said Joshua Vaught, director of Opera- tions, Slots and Table Games at Harrah’s Cherokee Valley River. “Apex has become a must on our casino floor.”
Kubilay Özer, global sales director at Apex Gaming affirmed that the new order has “firmly placed” the company “on the gaming map in North America”.
“I’m already looking forward to next year’s G2E,” he continued. “I would also like to thank the whole Apogee Team especially JL Drapeau and Justin Reece for their dedication amazing focus and extraordinary relationship with their customers on ensuring the success of our entry into the North American market.
“This has been a true team effort. Apex Gaming has now truly arrived in the United States of America.”
