The technology solutions provider, Perforce Software, will play a major role in Aristocrat’s next generation Digital Asset Development and Management Platform.
Perforce Software has been selected by Aristocrat Leisure Limited to provide enterprise-grade version control and collaboration in support of its global digital production studios management initiatives to improve operational efficiencies across its global product teams and accelerate time to market of its market leading gaming technologies.
With our new collaborative workspaces powered by Helix, we will much more easily manage our digital assets and source code developed by artists, developers, sound engineers, and producers, accessible anytime, across the globe
Aristocrat claims it needed a next generation digital asset management platform to handle its globally distributed assets – particularly large, binary media – with a high-performance distributed architecture capable of moving product content between different gaming segments at high speeds.
The global gaming industry giant plans to migrate its digital content and source code from legacy repositories and version control systems into the Perforce Helix Version Control System for a single source of truth that will scale with the company’s growth, allow for sharing of all digital assets between studios, business units and third parties, as well as provide control and protection over all access to its valuable IP.
In addition to the scalability and security offered by Perforce Helix, the solution has demonstrated a rapid increase in availability uptime, system reliability, and protection against file transfer failures.
“The productivity of our creative teams was essential in determining the different technologies that will make up our new development platform,” said Jonathan Ma, Senior Program Manager – Corporate PMO, at Aristocrat. “With our new collaborative workspaces powered by Helix, we will much more easily manage our digital assets and source code developed by artists, developers, sound engineers, and producers, accessible anytime, across the globe.”
