[dropcap]F[/dropcap]ollowing Merkur Gaming’s 2016 entry into the Bulgarian market, the Gauselmann subsidiary has reported a highly successful debut showing at the Balkan Entertainment and Gaming Expo (BEGE).  Markus Wessler, Sales Director International, summed up the event. “After a successful market launch earlier this year, we took the decision to participate in the trade fair. At BEGE, it became clear that this was absolutely the right decision, as it enabled us to reach customers from the entire Balkan region, who gave us positive feedback across the board.”

Merkur Gaming has a long success story in Eastern Europe where it has enjoyed particular success in Serbia and Romania. Athanasios Isaakidis, Senior Director International Sales at Merkur Gaming, explained.

The key to success in the Bulgarian market lies in a thorough knowledge of the sector and decades of experience in games development.

“Bulgaria offers a reliable legal framework and a stable financial market. The key to success in the Bulgarian market lies in a thorough knowledge of the sector and decades of experience in games development. The gaming market is very challenging and players’ needs have a high priority. Customers in the Balkan region make high demands on product quality – they should be especially high-tech, with a surprise element and high-paced games. This is precisely what we at Merkur Gaming offer, allowing us to meet the requirements of both operators and customers.”

At BEGE, the Merkur Gaming team presented the Merkurstar, the Avantgarde SLT and the Avantgarde SLT Trio – three multigame HD products that numerous Bulgarian operators have already included in their portfolio. In a statement the company confirmed that it intends to show at BEGE in 2017 and thanked the organisers for putting on what it described as a first class event which had a positive impact on the whole region.
