New Hampshire greyhound racing track and charity casino, The Brook, has completed a yearlong, multi-million dollar re-modelling and re-branding.
Located close to the Massachusetts border, the 75-acre property – known for nearly four decades as Seabrook Park – was acquired by Nevada-based Eureka Casino Resorts in January 2019. “New Hampshire has had charity casinos for years, but it has never had a true ‘casino experience’. The Brook changes all of that,” said Andre Carrier, president and COO of Eureka Casino Resorts.
The Brook’s charity casino features table games such as blackjack, roulette and Cajun Stud, while the property also includes a poker room. The remodel also saw the introduction of a retro arcade, complete with pinball and classic 80s and 90s video games.
The relaunched venue boasts a new racebook and sports viewing area, The Stadium, featuring three cinema-size 4K video displays and over 150 televisions.
The property is well place to capitalise on the sports betting boom currently taking place in the US. With neighbouring Massachusetts and Maine yet to legalise sports betting, New Hampshire looks set to become a hub for the northern New England market.
“The overwhelming reaction from guests has been positive,” Carrier continued. “We are already the only place in New Hampshire where you can make a pari-mutuel wager, so building a world-class racebook and a sports viewing area for our long-time guests made all the sense in the world.”
