GeWeTe teamed up with fellow Gauselmann Group subsidiary Merkur Gaming to exhibit its latest cash handling products at the inaugural Juegos Miami in June.

The company is a leading provider of change machines for the German arcade market, and has more than 60,000 machines installed worldwide.

“The Latin American market is new territory for us, which is one of the reasons we wanted to attend the show,” said Mark Edmundson, GeWeTe’s sales manager for UK and Ireland. “Juegos Miami has been an excellent gateway to Latin America – it’s a very interesting market. We’ve had some good enquires and we’ve seen interest from all over the region.

“It’s been very encouraging to see how many people have attended from a range of countries and I’d say it’s been a strong start for a first event.”

At the Biltmore this year, the company exhibited its Cash Center and the Cash Center Compact Casino machines, drawing from its extensive range of over 20 products.

“We’ve seen interest in both models and additionally in those we haven’t got here such as our Coin Recycler,” said Edmundson. “We didn’t bring it with us to Juegos Miami as we expected customers to focus more on our note-based products but that’s part of the learning curve when working in a new market and it’s been good to get that feedback.”
