IGT will power sports betting at Cliff Castle Casino in Arizona, while the company has also recently signed a PlaySports technology and services agreement with The Stadium in Puerto Rico.
IGT is expanding its sport betting footprint in Arizona via a multi-year agreement with Cliff Castle Casino in Camp Verde, Arizona.
“We believe adding sports betting to Cliff Castle Casino’s existing entertainment offering will enable us to attract new patrons, extend and enhance our guests’ visits and help us stay competitive in Arizona’s rapidly growing sports betting market,” said Aaron Moss, Cliff Castle Casino general manager. “Cliff Castle Casino looks forward to introducing our guests and local sports fans to the excitement and quality of an IGT-powered sportsbook.”
IGT PlaySports technology and trading advisory services will power Cliff Castle Casino’s retail sportsbook, enabling casino guests to place prematch and in-game wagers over the counter or at the venue’s self-service PlaySports Kiosks.
“Cliff Castle Casino can be confident in the reliability and scalability of IGT PlaySports technology, and in the abilities of our skilled trading advisory services team to help them maximise the opportunity,” said Joe Asher, IGT’s president of sports betting. “Arizona is an exciting sports betting market and we’re pleased to see IGT’s long-time customer, Cliff Castle Casino, be a part of this growth opportunity.”
Meanwhile, the company has expanded its sports betting market opportunities in Puerto Rico via a multi-year PlaySports technology and services agreement with The Stadium.
“As the sports betting market in Puerto Rico takes shape, WinIn is well-positioned to deliver world-class online and retail sports betting thanks to our technology and services partnership with IGT,” said Grace Santana, WinIn COO. “IGT’s PlaySports platform continues to prove its capacity to scale with new market opportunities and give players a seamless omnichannel experience that they can trust.”
The Stadium owns and operates WinIn, a Puerto-Rico based entertainment company that has partnerships with leading eSports companies and the top baseball league in the region, Liga de Béisbol Profesional Roberto Clemente, that plans to expand into the recently regulated sports betting market in Puerto Rico.
Under the terms of the agreement, IGT PlaySports technology and trading advisory services will power all of WinIn’s future online and retail sportsbooks in Puerto Rico.
“IGT PlaySports is highly experienced at helping operators such as WinIn successfully establish competitive sportsbooks in newly regulated jurisdictions,” Asher stated. “The prospect of adding Puerto Rico as a territory with PlaySports-powered sportsbooks is another exciting step in our effort to further expand our footprint across North America.”
