In Holland, Netherlands-based casino operator JVH Gaming has announced that it has reached an agreement to acquire Flamingo Casino, a Dutch gaming operator which operates 15 venues in the country.

Founded in 1958, JVH is one of the largest gaming machine operators in the Netherlands, owning both Jack’s Casino and Flash Casino. With the acquisition of Flamingo, JHV will now operate 81 casinos.

“Following the acquisition of eleven Krijco Casinos in 2015 and a series of new casino openings in recent years, we are very pleased to add Flamingo Casino to our organisation,” said Eric Olders, CEO of JVH Gaming. “We are looking forward to continuing our growth together.”

In other Netherlands news, Holland Casino has opened a new casino in the Ven building, in the west of the capital, Amsterdam.

The operator has transferred its licence for a casino at Schiphol Airport to open the 5,000sqm venue, which can accommodate up to 2,000 guests.

The new property features 503 slot machines spread over two floors, 12 gaming tables, and live bingo.

“This is an important step for the future of Holland Casino. Our casino at Schiphol Airport was not profitable and a modern casino with a few updated concepts at this location will enable us to strengthen our position, said Holland Casino CEO, Erwin van Lambaart.

In Switzerland, Belgium-based Ardent Group, which operates both land-based and online casinos, has bought a 44 percent share in Casino Davos from Stadtcasino Baden.

The move will allow Ardent to strategically position itself in anticipation of forthcoming changes in regulation for Switzerland’s online sector.

“Stadtcasino Baden Group has made the strategic decision to operate Casino Davos in the future together with a partner with many years of online casino experience,” said the companies said in a joint statement.

“The choice fell on the Casino de Spa SA, which is part of the Belgian Ardent Group, and already successfully runs its own licensed online casino.”
