Gauselmann Group acquires Bührmann arcades

The Gauselmann Group has completed its takeover of Bührmann Group, acquiring the Bremen- based company’s arcades and restaurants across Northern Germany.

The deal has seen Gauselmann acquire 35 arcades and 60 catering locations in Bremen and Lower Saxony.

The company will also assume ownership of the trading names Bührmann A + I GmbH, Play Fair Casino GmbH and Co. KG. and Gerdes Spielkonzepte GmbH and Co. Detlev Graß will continue in his role as partner and MD of Bührmann A and I.

“The Bremen region is particularly convenient for us, as we had to close many locations there in 2017 due to legal restrictions. With the acquisition of the arcades and the catering locations, we can compensate for at least some of the locations that were previously lost,” said Gauselmann’s board member for gaming operations Dieter Kuhlmann. “We as a company are also pleased that we can secure around 200 jobs through the acquisition. We value the skills and experience of the individual employees and want to build on them together.”
