Aristocrat’s new MarsX Upright cabinet made its debut in Holland Casino’s Utrecht, Amsterdam West and Rotterdam properties in December.

Holland Casino has become the first European operator to install Aristocrat’s new MarsX Upright cabinet, the European debut taking place at its Utrecht venue at the start of December.

The unveiling comes just days after the new platform’s European release at the end of November, with games from the Fu Dai Lian Lian family comprising base games Dragon and Panda, Asian themes featuring an industry-first of three metamorphic pots, each triggering unique features that can also be combined for huge rewards.

“We pride ourselves on offering our players the latest innovations and the very best of what the global industry has to offer. I would like to thank our service partner, Gaming and Casino Services, for their expediency in getting these games on the floor so quickly, so that our customers can start enjoying another new, great gaming experience and being amongst the first in Europe to do so,” said Jan Bartels, gaming director at Holland Casino.

Product manager Jelle van Battum reported that the MarsX also launched at Holland Casino’s Amsterdam West and Rotterdam locations in December. “All three locations vied to be first to market,” he added.

“As a regulated market, it’s a rarity for the Netherlands to host European debuts, so I’d like to pay tribute to Holland Casino for their confidence and urgency in bringing this new concept to market first,” stated Erik-Jan van den Berg, Aristocrat VP of sales and business development, EMEA.

“Fu Dai Lian Lian is currently enjoying a privileged top spot in North American performance charts and we feel certain that Dutch players will express the same levels of verve for this remarkable game family, presented on a truly exceptional and innovative hardware platform.”

Built on Aristocrat’s new Gen9 gaming platform, with increased processing power and enhanced storage and graphics capabilities allow greater scope for the development of games using more advanced audio-visual effects, across more screens, MarsX is available with five new dedicated games, together with an initial library of proven Gen8 and Gen7 titles, highlighting its backwards compatibility.

The cabinet gives operators an entirely new way to illuminate their players’ Xperience. Fitting easily into any standard upright cabinet space, its sleek, modern, and inventive design, incorporating floating screens and game-complementary corona sync edge lighting, creates a unique play environment and sparks a revolution in game floor layout, with backto- back placement opening up sight lines across gaming floors.

MarsX has two 27” 4K displays and a 27” HD LCD topper, supported with game-driven content for added entertainment. A premium virtual button deck offers a high definition, minimalistic way of wagering, effectively providing an integrated and interactive fourth screen. Embedded into the deck is the latest in NFC wireless charging technology.

A 4.1 speaker system optimally projects audio from around the displays, providing crisp, balanced sound. Additionally, its ergonomic design provides more efficient accessibility for field service technicians, decreasing service time in the field.

Buffalo Gold Revolution is the latest instalment in Aristocrat’s Buffalo franchise, extending on the popular Buffalo Gold with a new jackpot wheel and base game feature that can turn royal symbols into Buffalo on any spin.

With two different Asian themes, the new, linkable Fu Dai Lian Lian franchise features an industry-first: three metamorphic pots, each triggering unique features that can also be combined for huge rewards.

The Mighty Cash brand also makes the leap onto MarsX, with two Mighty Cash Ultra games – also linkable – leveraging the strong Hold and Spin mechanic and combining it with a metamorphic trigger pot for the first time.

“Both the MarsX cabinet and the games selected for its launch have shown tremendous performance across North American gaming floors in recent months and we are confident we will receive similar feedback from customers on this side of the Atlantic,” affirmed Ian Adams, Aristocrat’s EMEA product and marketing director.
