This year’s edition of ICE proved another a strong show for JCM, with Payam Zadeh, JCM’s EMEA General Manager, discusses how the event offered the company the opportunity to meet with customers from across EMEA and around the world and present its newest solutions.
Which of your products did you highlight for this year’s show?
We took a different approach to our stand this year, attempting to look at it through our customer’s eyes.
That led us to divide it into four distinct areas, making it easier than ever for customers to find the solutions they needed, whether for casinos and gaming halls, betting terminals, systems or cash handling solutions for the back office.
The solutions on display for 2017 included our iVizion bill validator, which remains one of the most widely used bill validators in the gaming industry.
We also showcased a number of our printing solutions, beginning with our new GEN5 thermal printer and our CouponXpress coupon solution. Customers were also very interested in our Ticket2Go, an after-market TITO solution for AWP operators, TBV and RDM for table solution in the casino and the new Fuzion, which when combined with iVizion, GEN5 and the casino’s existing CMS, opens a host of new revenue potential.
Which countries do you consider currently offer the greatest potential for growth in your market segment?
Speaking first from our perspective in the EMEA region, the UK and Spain have been strong markets for us, and we expect that trend to continue in 2017.
We are fortunate to have had a great deal of success in those markets with our Ticket2Go solution in the UK and with our iVizion and printer products in Spain. Since JCM returned to the South African market last year, we have seen growth within the casino and LPM market and we expect that to continue.
Over in the US, we had great recent success – earning 100 percent of the floor share – with several key new casino openings. Of course, all eyes remain the potential market openings in Brazil and for Japan and we are poised to service customers there, when those markets open for business.
In your view, what discussions will drive the agenda for 2017?
Interestingly, we had many discussions with customers about sports betting. We tracked this trend in 2016 and now in the new year, sports betting certainly was an ongoing point of conversation throughout the show.
Like the AGA and AGEM, we see potential for the gaming industry and for JCM within the sport betting market, and this is why we presented our solutions for this market during the show, including the sports betting functions within Fuzion.
