Konami has announced the first Asian market installation of its mechanical horse racing game Fortune Cup.
The multi-station product has been integrated into the games offering of DNA Star Vegas in Poipet, Cambodia, through a distribution agreement with RGB International.
Fortune Cup features a 274 cm wide mechanical track with eight horses that travel freely and independently across the course.
The horses’ actions are mirrored by real-time digital animation on connected LCD screens in a sports broadcast format, with players placing bets through touchscreen stations offer- ing race stats, horse odds, and comprehensive bet options for win, place, and quinella.
The Donaco International-owned casino, located on the border of Thailand and Cambodia, and will add Fortune Cup to its selection of over 100 gaming tables and 1500 slot machines.
The installation is predicted to be the first step of a concerted effort by Konami to launch the title through- out Asia, including locations in Macau, Singapore and Philippines.
