Luxembourg’s sole gambling facility, Casino 2000, has extended its partnership with the Luxembourg Olympic and Sports Committee (COSL) for a further four years.
[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he agreement was signed at the headquarters of Casino 2000 by COSL president André Hoffmann and secretary general Daniel Dax with Guido Berghmans and Lydia Biringer-Schmitt, the chief executive and finance director of Casino 2000, representing the venue.
Part of Casino 2000’s policy of sport and cultural sponsorship, the company has stated that the partnership “reflects their local roots and importance of maintaining long-term relationships”.
“It is natural that we wanted to give our support to the Luxembourg Olympic and Sports Committee and to reaffirm our commitment to the socioeconomic fabric of Luxembourg, particularly in the sporting life of the country,” said Berghmans.
Based in Mondorf-les-Bains in south-eastern Luxembourg, Casino 2000 welcomes more than 500,000 visitors a year.
“We are pleased to have a faithful partner like Casino 2000,” said Hoffmann. “This support is essential to continue to develop and promote sport and home sports people in Luxembourg, but also beyond borders.”
Opened in 1983, the complex brings together facilities for gambling, dining, accommodation and shows, while its casino offers roulette and blackjack tables, in addition to a number of slot machines.
