Jay Chun delivers key message of the Macau and Chinese business community at special networking event staged at ICE Totally Gaming 2017.
‘We want to bring our marketplace closer and more actively engaged within a truly worldwide industry’ is how Jay Chun, Chairman of the influential trade association, the MGEMA, described the key message of the Macau and Chinese business community at a networking event staged at ICE Totally Gaming 2017 in London’s Royal Docklands.
Addressing the assembled industry executives and decision makers at the MGEMA hosted party, Mr Chun highlighted the importance of international communication, the MGS Entertainment Show’s ongoing relationship with the Macau SAR government, and the influential global role of the top 150 gaming and entertainment businesses in Asia.
Speaking at the event, Jay Chun, opened with a formal recognition of the important role of the Macau SAR Government and the key partnership developing between government and the trade association with regard to international relations, stating: “This is our second reception here in London, and thanks to the support and encouragement of our Government, the visiting delegation from the Macau and Chinese business community continues to grow.”
Making reference to its 30 strong, government funded MGEMA delegation which journeyed to ICE to explore advances in AI and VR and how they impact gaming, Chun stated that next year the association and the Macau government will be hoping to partner in bringing a delegation nearer to one hundred.
He explained: “This is the key message that the Macau and Chinese business community are hoping to deliver here and going forward – we want to bring our marketplace closer and more actively engaged within a truly global industry.
“And that’s a journey we in the MGEMA are looking to pioneer alongside our colleagues and friends, both here at ICE and around the industry worldwide.”
As part of this program, the MGEMA delegation met with a number of pioneering companies, industry figureheads and international trade associations during their business mission to London.
Discussing the future direction of the industry, Chun commented: “We believe that the best way to progress is by being outward looking, globally thinking and developing the key relationships that establish real bonds to enable our businesses and our communities to move forward and prosper together.
“We are very lucky to have built some significant relationships over our short time as a trade association – and we bring important partnerships to this arena. Our members are some of the most influential businesses in Asia; our Government in the Macau SAR is a strong supporter of our activities and sponsors our annual exhibition – the MGS Entertainment Show.”
