One of the West End’s best-loved casinos, Napoleons, has been transformed and re-opened as Horizons. Located in Queens House, Leicester Square, the venue has been expertly re-designed to include new games and slot machines while retaining its intimate feel. Horizons re-launched on 15th July.
The site measures 3,817 sq ft and has a 400-person capacity (including staff) and says it provides “the complete gaming experience of a large casino with the intimacy of a smaller venue”.
The venue, which is known as the West End’s original casino, will soon be opening its doors to non-members and walk ins (not just members), to give more people the chance to experience gaming in the capital.
Horizons now has the gaming capacity to match larger casinos and give visitors a wider choice and potentially bigger payouts. This includes three new Blackjack tables; new progressive jackpots on low level Blackjack and Three Card Poker tables; a linked £20,000 jackpot on six slot machines, four of which are brand new; and progressive side bets on Three Card Poker, Baccarat and Blackjack. Table limits have also been raised in line with other casinos. There are now 14 tables, 19 touchbet terminals, 8 fixed odds betting terminals (FOBTs) and 12 slot machines.
George Polhill, Managing Director at Horizons, says: “We’re really excited to introduce Horizons to current and new casino members alike. The West End is such a vibrant area for entertainment and we think that the updates to Horizons now rank us as one of the best casinos in the area. Our gaming experience rivals that of the bigger casinos, but, with our smaller capacity the experience is more personal and calm.”
Visitors will notice a refreshed food and drink menu, with new cocktails such as the Guava Goose (Grey Goose vodka, guava juice and fresh lime); Jack and Dry (Jack Daniels, Dry Vermouth and ginger ale) and the Summer Cup (Pink Rives Gin, Dolin chamberyzette, pamplemousse and Double Dutch cranberry tonic). Gin connoisseurs can enjoy a new premium selection of gins, including Ferdinand’s Saar Dry Gin, Bobby’s Schiedam Dry Gin and Koval Organic Dry Gin – all served with a fruity, complementary garnish.
The new restaurant menu features weekly specials (Chinese breakfast, Middle Eastern buffet, Vietnamese buffet, curry buffet and Saturday buffet) and three course oriental and dinner menus.
