Lawrence Levy, who has served as Novomatic’s senior vice president of the Central and South American regions since January 2015, has been named vice president of global sales and will oversee sales and product developments in territories such as the US, Africa, Asia and Australia.

[dropcap]H[/dropcap]e will report directly to Novomatic CEO Harald Neumann, who affirmed that Levy’s appointment signalled his company’s commitment to strategic expansion.

“The requirements of our customers vary in each market,” said Levy. “Thanks to my experience in more than 17 countries, I am familiar with local conditions and individual needs of the various markets.

“I am able to use this knowledge to understand what casino operators need in terms of product, technology, innovation and customer service.”

Levy has worked for Novomatic since 2009, when he served as general manager of Novomatic Peru, joining from Asian and Latin American-focused hospitality giant Thunderbird Resorts.

The 54-year-old Briton began his career working as a croupier, before progressing through the ranks into senior management positions for a number of land-based businesses including Cirsa, Casinos Poland and Queenco, in Argentina, Morocco and Uganda, among others.

This January also saw Bernhard Krumpel joining the company to coordinate public relations for Novomatic.  Krumpel will be responsible for the corporate image of the Novomatic Group, working closely with its subsidiaries, and reporting to the company’s general secretary Stefan Krenn.

In his previous position, Krumpel headed group communications for Austria’s Hypo Noe Bank.

Krumpel succeeds Dr. Hannes Reichmann, who has moved to a new position as head of group operations marketing. In this role Reichmann is now responsible for the strategic brand alignment of Novomatic’s various subsidiaries across fifty countries worldwide.
