While Macau’s VIP gaming sector continues to weather the economic and political headwinds, Betty Zhao, chief operating officer of Paradise Entertainment, said she is confident that 2016 will prove fruitful for suppliers to the mass market.
In addition to managing three standalone casinos in Macau, Paradise Entertainment remains the region’s incumbent live multi game (LMG) supplier, through its subsidiary, LT Game.
Speaking on the sidelines of the G2E Asia show floor last month, Zhao said: “This year, trading for LT Game is looking very good in Macau. We are on schedule to install 1,000 machines in seven different properties across the region. Most of the machines are not on the casino floor yet, so I cannot disclose too much, but you will see the installations throughout the year.”
Zhao added: “From my point of view, the market structure is different from two or three years ago, but we do have very good, high-quality mass market players. Operators in Macau see a big potential in live table games.”
