Once again BEGE Expo saw EGT showcase its most complete product line-up of slot cabinets and multigame mixes, multiplayer solutions, online games and casino management systems, presenting the show’s biggest booth of over 150 machines.
[dropcap]T[/dropcap]his year’s BEGE Expo saw Euro Games Technology (EGT) showcase its complete product line-up of slot cabinets and multigame mixes, multiplayer solutions, online games and casino management systems.
The manufacturer presented a range of products from across its four divisions, the largest of which is video slot machines, and its booth of over 150 machines saw them scoop the prize for “Most Contemporary Slot Cabinet Portfolio” at the 2016 BEGE Awards.
For BEGE 2016, the company’s slot division highlighted its Curved and Super Premier cabinets and the jackpot systems 3 Happy Hits, 4 Happy Hits and Fu Gui Rong Hua, which were premiered for a first time to the local audience.
“Every year the show is getting bigger and more prestigious,” said Radostina Ganeva, EGT’s marketing and PR manager. “While we sell to over 75 countries, our company is a Bulgarian manufacturer so it is important to participate, not only for sales but principally for image, since it takes place in our country.”
At this year’s event, the company was “pleasantly surprised” to note a number of attendees coming from outside the Balkan region, with visitors from Western Europe and further afield.
“Naturally EGT is very strong in Bulgaria, we have the biggest market share and we’re the leader in the market,” added Ganeva.
“We also have very good results in Macedonia, we have installed a lot of machines, not only in their casinos and gaming halls but also we have installed 1,300 VLTs.
This is a very different culture with different players so it requires more time to make inroads.
“In Greece, we also have machines in every casino, while Romania remains a very important market for us and each year we install there around 3000 games.”
EGT’s Romanian office is the company’s oldest international branch outside of Bulgaria, “they are developing very fast and this is why we participate there in Entertainment Arena Expo, the local exhibition.”
“It’s easiest, when you’re a local company in the Balkans, to expand into your nearest region first. But, accessing Latin America, for example, this is a very different culture with different players so it requires more time to make inroads,” explained Ganeva.
That said, EGT has successfully expanded into Latin America and reports that the company is developing very quickly in the region.
From its first office in Panama, it has now expanded, opening a demo centre and training facilities, in addition to a centre providing spare parts.
“This year also saw the company open offices further south in Colombia and Peru, we made some installations in Mexico and we are penetrating several markets, where the quality of our products gives us an advantage,” Ganeva added.
