Shorelines Casino opening unknown

The opening date of the Shorelines Casino in Peterborough, Ontario, is reportedly still up in the air having been initially slated for late summer/early or autumn this year.

Construction on the project started in September 2017 and although there is no concrete date for its inaugural opening, the company behind it is confident it will be ready within the original time frame.

“No official date has been determined for the opening of Shorelines Casino Peterborough, but we are hopeful that the date will be confirmed in the next couple of weeks,” stated Bryan Buchanan, the general manager of the Shorelines Slots at Kawartha Downs.

Once operational the Shorelines Casino will see the slots currently at Kawartha Downs moved into its premises with the staff to follow, however the table games currently at the race track will remain open as usual.

Following the casino construction will be a 100- room hotel operated by HIlton which is slated for completion some time in May 2019.
