Sirplay is getting geared up to attend the Peru Gaming Show (PGS) in Lima, which the company affirms has established itself as the most important event in the Latin American region.

PGS has always aimed to show the newest and greatest advances in the gaming industry, as affirmed by Ruben Solorzano, MD of Affiliated Marketing Group (AMG), the organiser of the PGS, which will be celebrating its 15th anniversary this year.

In Sirplay’s view, the success of PGS is easily linkable to the attractiveness of the Peruvian gambling market, which it characterises as “one of the most interesting and important” markets in the region.

The online gambling industry has been regulated in Peru for several years, with the first online casino licence issued in 2008.

Currently, casino, lottery, bingo and horse racing are allowed with imminent regulation on the horizon for online sports betting, hopefully within the year.

Taking this into account, in addition to Peru’s population of 30 million and strong economic growth, combined with the spread of casinos in the territory and the North American influence in sports betting tastes – with a focus on the NFL and American football in general, followed by baseball and soccer – it is no wonder that the gambling market in Peru is attracting attention.

Sirplay has always seen Peru’s numerous possibilities with the company opening a branch office in Lima several years ago, and the company will be exhibiting its white label sports betting software for the third time at the 2017 edition of PGS.
