SportAD, has teamed up with Resorts Digital Gaming to launch the first licensed, real-money fantasy sports game for the US casino industry.
Resorts Digital Gaming – the online arm of Resorts Hotel Casino, the first casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey – will promote the game under its brand “FastPick”.
SportAD claims its unique matchup-based sports game enables Resorts to enter the fantasy sports market, challenging market leaders FanDuel and DraftKings with a game that appeals to both hardcore and casual sports fans alike. The company also claims its “FastFantasy” technology enables players to make quick picks of their favorite pro athletes, and earn big cash prizes.
“We want to appeal to sports fans who want to get a piece of the action but don’t have the time to compete effectively against the traditional “professional” DFS players”, said Ed Andrewes, speaking on behalf of Resorts Digital Gaming. “We are thrilled to partner with Sport AD to introduce the next generation of Fantasy Sports to our casinos as well as online and mobile”.
SportAD’s “FastFantasy” game is the first legal casino sports game launched outside of Nevada and Delaware and the company confirmed it already has other casino firms preparing to roll out the game during the American Football season. SportAD offers fantasy matchup contests for NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, European Soccer and Cricket with other sports, like Golf and eSports, in the works.
“We are very excited about this launch with Resorts Gaming, which has a reputation of bringing innovative gaming content to market in both their casino and online,” said Joe Brennan Jr., CEO of SportAD. “With plenty of MLB baseball right now, and the NFL football and European Soccer seasons about to start, the “FastPick” brand is in a strong position to capitalize on the daily fantasy sports market and attract players looking for a more fun and simple way to enjoy real-money sports games”.
SportAD stated that the launch of the “FastPick” brand is poised to capitalize on two trends: firstly that players desire an alternative to the time-consuming and overly complex DFS games offered by FanDuel and DraftKings; and second, the US regulated gaming industry, which has been looking for a DFS game that allows them to tap the fantasy sports markets in a way that contributes to the growth of their core business.
SportAD claims its “FastFantasy” game’s simple parlay/accumulator format makes it a natural fit for brick & mortar, mobile and online, enabling operators to offer it in their retail locations while extending the reach of their brands far beyond their physical locations, helping casinos and lotteries capture a share of the highly-coveted millennials market, which has shown a preference for fantasy sports over more traditional casino games.
“Operators have been searching for a legal real-money sports game that they can offer as a way of attracting players while staying engaged with players and acquiring new ones,” Brennan said. “Our fully-compliant games give operators a powerful revenue driver and brand engagement that will enable them to grow their core business in multiple channels.”
