The Strat Hotel, Casino and SkyPod has become the first property in Las Vegas to receive TCS John Huxley’s Qorex electronic gaming solutions, with the installation of a six-player Qorex Circular Carousel with a Saturn Auto Wheel.
TCS John Huxley has installed its of Qorex electronic gaming solutions at The Strat Hotel, Casino and SkyPod. The resort is the first Las Vegas property to feature Qorex.
Qorex is the first fully in-house designed and developed electronic gaming solution from TCS John Huxley and provides a complete package for operators looking to create a striking centrepiece on their gaming floors, as well as generating excitement and entertainment for players.
“Receiving the final Nevada Gaming Commission approval recently is a game-changer for us. We have had a lot of interest in our Qorex ETG system and with NGCB approval we are now able to commence our extensive roll-out program starting with the prestigious Las Vegas casino, The Strat,” said Steph Nel, TCS John Huxley’s MD for the Americas.
While already established in Europe and Asia, the popularity of electronic gaming has been steadily growing in the US, even prior to the pandemic. However, now more so than ever, operators are seeing the benefits ETGs provide by maximising floor space through unlimited flexible configurations, optimising resources, and improving security, which in turn can increase revenue.
The first installation in Las Vegas was at the Strat Hotel and Casino. Here, the casino chose a full six-player Qorex Circular Carousel with a Saturn Auto Wheel set in a podium, complete with HiLite Orbit LED ring, and HiLite Luna overhead LED signage.
The Qorex Circular Carousel has created an eye-catching feature on the gaming floor and has already attracted a lot of interest with players. The Qorex range provides unlimited configurations through its modular design that can be networked and configured anywhere on the gaming floor, offering players the experience of a comfortable, individual and more personal terminal or the exciting sociable carousel or stadium environment. There are two Qorex terminal options to choose from, featuring either a 23” or 27” widescreen HD display and both are ergonomically designed with a space-saving footprint, yet packed full of features to entertain players.
All terminals feature stunning graphics on an easy to navigate touch-screen interface that allows the player to swap easily between multiple games of live or RNG options (such as the Saturn Auto Wheel) for Roulette, Sicbo and Baccarat. Games can also be linked with live camera feeds of dealer assisted games from around the gaming floor with the ability to turn the camera on and off, as well as the unique feature of moving the live wheel image around the screen by dragging it to a position that suits the player. For further flexibility, Qorex is easily configurable for various player tracking and SAS systems, bill validators and ticket printers.
Qorex Terminals are the heart of the system, but operators are finding the ease of choosing a complete package an extremely attractive option. Qorex can incorporate high impact LED signage, custom designed podiums, drinks shelves, phone charging spots and back panels that have the option to include custom designs or logos.
“Operators we are working with are all saying how much they love the full package options Qorex offers,” Nel stated. “The ability to choose a completely integrated and aesthetically cohesive system, not only ensures it will look great on the gaming floor, but also makes the whole installation process more streamline for operations teams too. We look forward to seeing a lot more Qorex electronic gaming solutions in casinos soon.”
