Well trained regulators make better regulations

Totally Gaming Academy’s Lucien Wijsman highlights the need for training within the industry following the first full year of the Academy with Clarion Events as a partner.

[dropcap]L[/dropcap]ucien Wijsman, Director of Content at The Totally Gaming Academy, is urging more gaming regulators to participate in the industry’s training courses.

He explained: “A well-trained industry sends out a positive message to regulators and legislators. Also, regulators are finding their way into the classrooms of the Totally Gaming Academy. Quite simply, well trained regulators make better regulations. I love to see the interaction that takes place between operators and regulators in my classroom – it’s priceless!”

Reflecting on the first 12-months of the Totally Gaming Academy, he said: “So much has happened in the first full year with Clarion Events as a partner. I find it unbelievable that we now offer a full portfolio of training modules all of which have been very well received by the industry. We have been very fortunate in finding several industry experts, who combine knowledge with what I would describe as an ‘obsession’ to share it. I am proudly looking at the number of followers we have on LinkedIn and other Social Media and it makes me very happy to see that we are developing a real community. It is just a matter of time before we welcome follower number 1,000 ahead of our appearance at ICE 2017.”
