Leeds’ Victoria Gate Casino has expanded its poker offering with the launch of one of the biggest poker rooms outside of London, as well as an exclusive gaming area called the Ruby Lounge.
The £30m super casino’s new poker room features up to 20 full-sized tables, with space for a full house of up to 180 players, an increase of 80.
For a more exclusive gaming experience, VIP customers can visit the brand new Ruby Lounge – a private area with their own dedicated croupiers, gaming tables, bar and access to the venue’s V Restaurant.
As one of the largest gaming destinations in the north of England, Victoria Gate Casino will also host poker tournaments throughout the year, with experienced players travelling from across the globe to place their bets.
Patrick Noakes, managing director at Victoria Gate Casino, said: “We are delighted to be enhancing our offer with a new VIP area and an expansion to our poker offer in response to demand.
“Poker is massively popular in Leeds, so we’re very excited to be launching the largest poker room in Yorkshire – and one of the biggest outside of London – right here in the city.
“As well as providing a great space for our regular players, the new area will host huge poker tournaments with prize pools of up to £20,000.
“These tournaments attract players from around the world, so it’s a fantastic opportunity to welcome some of the best and brightest poker stars to visit the region.”
The 50,000 sq ft entertainment and gaming destination is the first and only “super casino” in the north and sits alongside John Lewis at the top of the city’s Victoria Gate development.
