As JCM Global gets set to attend the Peru Gaming Show this June, Dave Kubajak, VP of Operations discusses what’s driving the company’s growth in Latin America.

What kind of business successes has JCM achieved in the Latin America in the last 12 months?

We are fortunate that our iVizion and UBA bill validation products continue to lead the industry in LatAm. Casinos in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, and Peru are upgrading their technology to the iVizion and the reason for this is operators in LatAm have the same concerns and needs as operators all around the world. They want to be sure the casino floor is safe and secure from counterfeiters and other potential cheats, while at the same time offering convenience and speed to their customers.

Which of your products are doing well in Latin America at the moment and where have you seen growth?

iVizion is an industry leader, and captures more than 9.5 million data points of every note, which is 2x more than the nearest competitive product. Customers in LatAm are also very interested in the efficiency and convenience offered by our GEN 2 U and GEN5 printers. We also recently introduced our PromoNet 2.0 system to the region, and customers have had a very positive reaction to it. PromoNet 2.0 is already in use in the US, and operators appreciate how it delivers the right promotion to the right player at the right time.

What would you identify as the distinctive features of the Latin American market?

LatAm operators are very much the same as operators worldwide. They want security for their operation and convenience for their players. JCM has a tremendous offering for LatAm operators, because our broad portfolio is filled with secure solutions for every type of environment and budget.

Has your company faced any challenges entering or working in Latin America?

Not anything out of the ordinary, nothing that other suppliers have not encountered, such as some import situations; however, countries are aware of these situations and are actively working to improve these situations, such as Argentina, which has made many positive steps forward. We are also proactively working directly with operators across LatAm, and our slot tech trainings have been incredibly popular and successful.
